Walk-in cooler and freezer repair
When the box is warm, the clock is on your product. We ask the right questions on the phone and come ready for the usual failures.
Most warm walk-ins come down to a short list: an evaporator fan motor, a defrost heater or timer, a condenser fan, a failed contactor, or a coil frozen solid. We carry the common parts and quote anything else in writing before we order it.

Your first ten minutes
When to call, and what to do first
Do these while you wait for us. They protect the product and help us diagnose.
Keep the door closed
Every opening lets warm air in. Open it only to move product.
Read the thermometer
Note the number and the time. Tell us on the phone.
Check the power
Look at the breaker and the disconnect near the condensing unit. Do not reset a breaker more than once.
Look at the evaporator
Heavy frost over the whole coil is a defrost problem. Tell us.
Decide on product
Food held above 41 degrees Fahrenheit for more than four hours should be discarded under the standard food code. Ask your health district if you are unsure.
Text us the nameplate
A photo of the unit's label tells us the model and refrigerant before we arrive.

Questions
Walk-in questions
Will you come at night?
Not on a schedule. Carlton answers after hours when he can, and plan kitchens are called back first. If your box fails after 6 p.m., leave a message with the temperature and we return it by 7 a.m. at the latest.
Can you work on any brand?
We service the common brands. Tell us the brand and model from the nameplate when you call, and we say whether we have parts or need to order them.
Do I need a plan?
No. A plan gives you scheduled checks, a same-day priority window and a labor discount with terms. You can call without one.
Is the box warm now?
Call the shop. Tell us the temperature on the thermometer and we start from there.
