Home AC repair
Air conditioning repair for Henderson houses and condos
We repair the system you have, tell you plainly if it is not worth repairing, and quote everything in writing before we start.
A desert system works hard from May to October, and most failures are small parts under heat: a capacitor, a contactor, a fan motor. We find the one that failed, not the one that is easiest to sell.
Split systems, package units and heat pumps
Thermostats and low-voltage controls

What you see
Signs your AC needs a visit
Call when you see any of these. Waiting usually makes the repair larger.
Running but not cooling
The air is warm or only a little cool, and the outdoor fan may or may not be running.
Short cycling
It starts, runs a few minutes and stops, again and again.
Ice on the lines or coil
Frost on the copper line or the indoor coil means airflow or charge is wrong.
Water around the air handler
A clogged drain or a frozen coil melting. Turn the system off and call.
A new noise
Grinding, buzzing or clicking from the outdoor unit or the air handler.
A bill that jumped
The same thermostat setting costing noticeably more than last summer.
The visit
What happens at the visit
In this order, every time.
- 01
Step 1: Arrive in your window
We call when we are ten minutes away.
- 02
Step 2: Diagnose
Gauges, meter and a look at the whole system before we name a part.
- 03
Step 3: Written quote
Parts, labor and what the repair does not cover, by text or email. The visit fee is credited if you approve the repair.
- 04
Step 4: Repair
Only after you say yes. If we find something else, we stop and call.
- 05
Step 5: Test
We run the system until it holds temperature and show you the readings.
- 06
Step 6: Report
What we found and did, sent the same day.
The quote
What drives the cost
We never print a price for a repair we have not seen. These are the things that move it.
The part and its brand
Capacitors and contactors are small; compressors and coils are not.
The refrigerant
Type and amount, and whether a leak has to be found and fixed first.
System age
An older system may need a part that is hard to find, or no longer make sense to repair.
Access
A rooftop, a tight attic or a locked yard changes the labor.
Time of the visit
Our visit fee is the same on a Saturday. Evenings and Sundays are not staffed.
Permits
A replacement of the outdoor unit may need a permit; a repair usually does not.
Questions
Home AC questions
Should I repair or replace?
Repair when the system is otherwise sound and the part is modest. Replace when repairs are repeating, the system is old, or the part costs a large share of a new one. We give you both numbers in writing and you decide.
Do you work on heat pumps?
Yes, cooling and heating mode. Gas furnaces are outside our C-21 class, so we send those to a firm that holds the right class.
How fast can you come?
We give a window when you call. On weekdays, calls before noon are usually seen the same day; we say so honestly when the route is full.
Does the plan cover repairs?
No. The Home plan covers two scheduled visits, a priority window and a labor discount. Parts and repairs are quoted separately.
Tell us what the AC is doing
Call or send a photo of the nameplate. We will give you a window and say what to check while you wait.
